Michael Greenwald was a part-time resident of San Clemente from 2009 to 2021, the period during which he fell in love with the city’s charm and lifestyle. After 55 years with Alta Dena Dairy in Los Angeles, he was delighted to make San Clemente his permanent home. Michael enjoys every aspect of the community—the sunshine, the vibrant atmosphere, the great restaurants, the abundant outdoor activities, the sense of involvement, and above all, the friendly people.
Community service has always been one of Michael’s passions. He currently serves as a Reserve Police Officer for the Los Angeles Police Department, President of the Ferrari Owners Club USA, a Director on the Seaview Townhomes HOA, and a member of the Public Safety Committee for the City of San Clemente. He has also contributed his time to numerous other charitable organizations over the years and has valued each experience.
Michael joined the Friends of San Clemente Board of Directors in early 2023 and looks forward to supporting the many meaningful activities and programs the Foundation provides to the City of San Clemente.
Despite San Clemente’s many outstanding dining options, he still considers a Double-Double from In-N-Out the perfect meal—best enjoyed right before tackling the El Portal stairs, all 129 of them.
